If you want to lose weight quickly, get off the couch and get moving. You know you should, but getting motivated when it feels as if you are facing an insurmountable task can be difficult.

It\’s tough. And it\’s especially difficult for yo-yo dieters. Chances are if you\’ve dieted before and lost weight only to gain it back, it\’s going to be more difficult to get yourself enthusiastic about any weight loss program.

Some people need a figurative knock in the head to make them realize it\’s time to lose weight and get healthy. These moments are different for every person:

—You see yourself in a mirror by accident and don\’t recognize the overweight person looking back at you;

—You you see an unflattering picture of yourself and have one of those oh-my-goodness-is-that-really-me sick feelings in your stomach;

It takes different things to motivate different people. For some, it\’s wanting to be around for their children and grandchildren when they grow up. For others, it\’s as simple as wanting to wow your old classmates at a class reunion. The problem isn\’t always getting motivated to lose weight quickly, it\’s keeping motivated after that initial decision.
