There is not much to it. One pound of fat on your body equates to 3500 calories. In order to lose a pound of fat per week, your body needs to take in 3500 less calories per week than it burns. To do this, you will need to lower your daily caloric intake by five-hundred per day. This will lead to about a pound of fat loss per week.
Does this seem manageable to you? Looks good to me. Just think. If you need to lose 25 pounds, you can do so in less than six months. Furthermore, it has been proven that such a steady and gradual weight loss will further enable you to keep the weight over the long-haul.
So, how do you cut out 500 calories per day. I do not think this will be too difficult. In fact, I will give you some clues below.
1. Use milk and hold the cream when it comes to coffee. Doing so will cut 50 calories.
2. Simply leaving the butter off of your baked potato keeps 100 calories out of your body.
